Tara & Jason Maternity Shoot

I am starting off this post with a moment to fully express my gratitude for being able to work with people again and having some of the restrictions lifted! Landscapes are absolutely beautiful and I tried (I really did) to feel passionate about landscape photography but it is just not my game. Sincere props to those out there who are killing it at landscapes!

2020 has been a wild ride for all of us so far, and even though we've all had a hard time finding the positives, the one thing that has come out of it for us is that the small things in life have always been there. Even when the world shut its doors, family, friends, and love were always there.

Looking back a year ago, Tara and Jason celebrated their wedding on a beach in Cuba with a handful of their closest friends and family, and it's been amazing to fast forward a year later and see that they are ready to welcome a little babe into the world!

In classic Saskatchewan fashion, the day that we originally had planned to take these photos, we woke up to snow on the ground. But, social distancing means that schedules are totally open and the next date we picked was so perfect, it made up for it completely.

The golden hour, gorgeous weather, and Bo the golden doodle made for an amazing set of maternity photos. The only thing I would change is the tick paranoia that comes with shooting in May!
